Here is a place just to share my vintage chips and things with people
This is the most complete site if CPUs that Ive ever seen. Thomas does not own all the chips listed here but he does have one of the best databases of photographed chips in the world. Well laid out and easy to navigate.
John Munro has a great collection of chips on his site, its easy to navigate and well laid out in a simple fasion. He has go to have the most extensive collections of 2901 cpus anywhere as well as bit slice and most other types of CPUs.
I dont know the person who owns this site, but its the first site I found back when I was starting out as a collector. There are loads of great chips to be seen here.
This is a must see site, as Peter is just brilliant with the way he presents his chips. The photography of each chip reminds me of a classic car shoot for a magizine. He has a well laid out site and lots of great info available. He also has a n impressive collection of Intel chips including CPUs ,EProms, Ram , Rom and Periferals.
Johns site is probly one of the largest collections of chips owned by one person in the world. Its easy to navigate and has a ton of information on it ready for the viewing. He has the largest selection of EProms Ive ever seen published on the web. He also has a huge amount of CPUs and other chips as well. I believe there are over 2500 chips here to see and read about. Defenatly a world leader in the collecting community.
What can I say about this site, Genna hosts a site that has more information available to the public than most of the manufacturers of the chips themselves. The Forum Is second to none and the users of that forum have more knowledge than any wiki or wilkpedia will ever have when it comes to vintage and modern day chips. His Intel S Spec data base is the best in the world period, with people contributing to it on a daily basis. If you want to know what a particualr chip would sell for or the rarity of it then this is the forum to ask on. It also has great technical knowledge and I am proud to say that I visit it on a daily basis and spend wayy to much time there.
This site is one of my favorites for checking out old Intel chips on, Theres over 750 chips pictured and in the collection. It also has a great search feature as well.
If youve ever wanted to go to the extreme with youre computer than this is a great place to start. Overclocking can be perfectly safe to do if you know what youre doing with the hardware you have. If you really want to understand how the hardware you run really works then spend some time here and learn. Jason has it all in one place for you, and the users on this forum have a sense of humor to things as well so its fun to check out the off topic section too.
